Is a beautiful longhair Dachshund with an amazing coat that almost looks like a collie in your future? Our pals 'Oscar' and 'Hans' write:
A friend of ours took her dogs (not doxies, but we will forgive her) to the vet yesterday, and while she was there the vet told her about a new resident at their facility. This little guy – a very pretty neutered male longhair – was left there when his owner moved and couldn’t take him along. He is 5-6 years old and needs to find a new forever home!
We were hoping you would help to spread the word about this little guy, so hopefully he can find a home soon! He is in Sheldon, Iowa, which is in Northwest Iowa, just about an hour northeast of Sioux City. He is at the Sheldon Veterinary Clinic, phone 712-324-3014.
Sorry about the picture; it was taken on a cell phone. But even with the lower-quality pic you can tell this is a happy guy who wants to be loved!

We are sure a dachie lover will come to your rescue. Good luck little guy, and keep us posted. We live in Canada so a bit far away to help spread the word, but LollyPop Wiggle Butt, Shilo Baby Bean and Sass the Bold are tooting for you.
I'm glad that he found a home! Because I called and was ready to drive to get him! But congrats on a new home!
