Dachshund Rescue NorthWest Officially Re-opens After Last Fall's Tragic Fire

Congratulations to Margo Mossburg, Director and Founder, Dachshund Rescue NW and Dachshund Club of Spokane, and all of the groups volunteers and supporters on their official re-opening after a tragic fire last fall.  While seven Dachshunds perished in the blaze, 16 Dachshunds and two cats made their way to safety.  The group celebrated their re-opening yesterday with a Wiener Party!   Mrs. Mossburg says "This is great because now we can get back to doing what we do with dogs."

Thanks for posting this. It was a very fun weekend at the Wiener Ranch.

We had an open house, pot luck and grand reopening for two days with lots of company, food and folks. Very fun weekend plus we adopted out two homeless wiener babies too. That makes 24 adopted out since the fire last October. Even with the fire last year we placed 71, a new record for our dog rescue.

So thanks everyone for the well wishes. We are back and having some fun as we have another doggie adoption tomorrow too.

Sincerely,
Margo Mossburg

Me again. A few corrections to the latest news story. The most dogs we have ever had at our home was 30. And we have placed 24 since the fire last October. And the dogs that we have that are currently adoptable are here: http://www.drnw.petfinder.com So right now we have five that needs homes not 24. Hahahaha.

Thanks,
Margo
