13 Rescued Dachshunds • Models for 2011 CTDR Rescue Calendar

Grab a cup of coffee, put a Dachshund on your lap, and enjoy this newest video by one of our favorite youtubers, Verysupercool, who note:  Central Texas Dachshund Rescue rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes dachshunds in need. This video shows all the rescue dogs that are featured in the 2011 Central Texas Dachshund Calendar. These dogs had a "ruff" start but were given a second chance to have a great life thanks to CTDR.

You can order your calendar now at CTDR.

What have I got to do to make you love me
What have I got to do to make you care
What do I do when lightning strikes me
And I wake to find that you're not there

What do I do to make you want me
What have I got to do to be heard
What do I say when it's all over
And sorry seems to be the hardest word

It's sad, so sad
It's a sad, sad situation
And it's getting more and more absurd
It's sad, so sad
Why can't we talk it over
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word

What do I do to make you love me
What have I got to do to be heard
What do I do when lightning strikes me
What have I got to do
What have I got to do
When sorry seems to be the hardest word

Thanks Maggie and Joey for sharing that. It was so cute and touching. We know what its like to be rescued and given a 2nd chance because we 4 dachies from Quebec Canada are all rescues. If you can save one it does makes a difference. Love Shilo Baby Bean, saved from going to a puppy mill in Quebec, Sass the Bold, adopted from Can Dash. Rescue Org., LollyPop Wiggle Butt, saved from living in an abandoned basement bathroom with skin infections due to living in my feces and urine and also a bladder infection, and Miss Maggie Muffin who was to be but down cause I was not house trained and my owner was moving. We Rescue dogs comes from many different situations. Mom said she would rescue another but with our rescued cat the by-laws won't let her have another pet. LOL

Snuggles, Twix
PS: How are you feeling, Joey?

Joey is feeling great Twix. He still hasn't gained much weight, probably because of the low fat food he's eating, but he looks pretty good. Trying to get him stabilized on his DOCP - he just went to have his lytes looked at on Saturday. He gets his next shot in a few weeks.

Thank you for posting this. I am Martin's dad. He is in the calendar and also the "Diving Dachshund" seen on YouTube. As a volunteer for CTDR.org I have transported many dogs from the shelter to the vet clinic. I'm always amazed at how loving they are to a total stranger. It's clear they are very forgiving little creatures. Thank again for posting this video. CTDR.org really needs helps with their medical bills right now.

Thanks for sharing this video about my favorite rescue organization! CTDR goes above and beyond with the great work they do. I am so glad I got to meet each one of the dogs featured on the calendar. They are all sweet souls. Let's all help CTDR with their rising medical bills. Give a couple dollars for a dachshund today!
