In The Darkened Underpass
How great is this new Dachshund mural in Toronto, Canada? Photo: davenport daschund drive by photographer Tanja-Tiziana who notes:
This Davenport/Junction area underpass is just around the corner from the studio yet I didn't notice the mural going up. Seems like a few days ago it was blank and suddenly today -- this adorable 'wiener' dog. I literally found myself laughing and pointing like a tourist. Glad I wasn't on my bike as it was dangerously distracting.

How awesome. He's from a poster for a dog show that was held in 1905 in Germany. Reproductions of the poster are available from
www.s2art.com as part of the Re collection(page 10).
I know what you mean about it appearing all of a sudden. I live in the neighbourhood and pass under the bridge daily on my way to work and when I'm taking my dogs to the park it just appeared overnight. I can't make out the artist' signature. Any idea who it is?
Was in Toronto this past weekend and had my cousin (who lives there & just saw this a few weeks back) take me to it... alas, it had been painted over :( We were extremely saddened!
Oh no! That was so nice.
