Neglected Dachshund Now a Picture of Health

It's amazing what a little love can do. Meet little red longhair 'Sylvester,' who was found as a stray in South Cave, UK. He was emaciated, flea-infested, with little hair, and in a condition which brought the vet who saw him to tears. He was taken to Hull Animal Welfare Trust, where a special human volunteer, Leah Elvidge, nursed him back to health and eventually adopted him. Well just look at Sylvester now! His age is unknown, as he has no teeth, which is how vets normally determine a dog's age. Read more about this special guy at This is Hull and East Riding.
