Dachshunds Around Town

If you live in Houston, Texas, you won't want to miss the opening of Good Dog Hot Dogs later this month.  Owners Daniel Caballero and Amelia Pferd have been operating out of a food truck for a few years, but are now opening a brick and mortar restaurant for their gourmet hot dogs on artisan buns.
"But Rowdy and Bette, wait, are they Dachshund Lovers or are they just using our likeness as a gimmick?"  Of course they are - the logo is fashioned after their own long dog named 'Olive Oil.'
Dang, now we're hungry again and we just had breakfast 10 minutes ago.

Olive Oil is a great name for a dachsie owned by two chefs. Olive Oyl from Popeye was fairly long herself, wasn't she?

I wish Amelia and David much good luck in their new restaurant! If they have veggie dogs on the menu, then I'll have to drop in if I'm ever in Houston.

We wish Amelia and David and Olive Oil all the best with their new place! I'll tell my Houston friends to come eat there... one friend in Switzerland will be there at Christmas!

Keep on wagging,
love,
Tootsie
