What Did Josh Duhamel Say?
After Cesar Millan the Dog Whisperer stopped by to offer advice to Josh Duhamel and Fergie with their Dachshund 'Zoe', Josh reportedly proclaimed:
“He show’s up and I swear to God, this guy’s got special skills. Our dog normally barks like crazy every time someone comes to the house. He walks in and Zoe runs right up to him (and just looks at him). He just walks right in the house.
“She loves her ball, he bounces the ball, she tries to go get it and play (he commands her to stop) and she stops. And it’s really kind of amazing the powers that this man has. I mean I was actually becoming a little submissive myself.”

Celebrity Dachshund Watch: Josh Duhamel Teams Up With Petsmart Charities
Transformers star and husband of singer Fergie, Josh Duhamel, is on a campaign to raise awareness about pet adoption. He's blogging about it on Huffington Post, talking about it at People magazine, and even teaming up with Petsmart Charities as seen in the above video to get the word out. Mr. Duhamel talks open and candidly at People magazine about the love of his Dachshunds:
All it took was a little Meatloaf for Josh Duhamel to become a convert.
Six years ago, the actor and his wife Fergie were looking to provide a companion for their 1-year-old dachshund Zoe, so they searched online and found another dachshund through a rescue.
"Meatloaf was truly a beautiful dog," Duhamel tells PEOPLE of the aging dachshund he brought into his home. "He was the most lovable, appreciative, soulful little dude. He just turned out to be such a great pet, such a great friend, and ever since then I've been an advocate of rescuing."
True to his word, Duhamel has partnered with PetSmart Charities' High-Five for Pet Adoption campaign, which celebrates the five million pets that have been adopted at PetSmart Adoption Centers since 1994.
Still, many millions more need homes. "I wanted to make aware how much of a problem it is in this country," he says. "I can speak from experience: [adopting] was the smartest thing we've done when it comes to owning a pet."
Rescue hadn't been on Duhamel's radar when he brought home Zoe while working on the NBC drama Las Vegas – and a disappointed colleague took it upon herself to educate the actor.
"When she found out that we bought Zoe, she gave me an earful, and that's when I first heard about pet adoption," Duhamel says. "Ever since then, I tell anybody who's going to get a pet that that's the way to go, not just because it's the right thing to do but because they make incredible pets."
Meatloaf was one of them. "From the very beginning, Zoe was taken well care of," Duhamel says. "We call her the spoiled little Brentwood dog because she never knew any hardship, unlike Meatloaf, who totally appreciated everything. He was just so loving and he was always so consistent." In his advancing age, the dachshund became afflicted by a degenerative brain disease and died on April 1 in his sleep.
"We have his ashes in a box," Duhamel says. "We were going to bury it and put a little memorial out, but we decided we wanted to keep it on the mantle at home because – I dunno, we just couldn't bury him for some reason. We just wanted to keep him close."
The shelter dogs that Duhamel has met since working with PetSmart Charities have also reminded him of Meatloaf. "They all seem to have that same characteristic of gratitude," he says. "I can only imagine what it's like in some of these shelters. When they do get a loving home, they truly appreciate it."

Fergie and Josh Duhamel’s Christmas Card and Fergie's Christmas Wish!
Ho Ho Ho Hot....Celebrity Dachshund News on Christmas Eve no less! Thanks to all the folks who let us know about Fergie and Josh Duhamel's 2011 Christmas Card. It's a keeper, that's for sure. Deb Daly writes:
Dear Joey and Rowdy,
Check out Meatloaf and Zoe's adorable Christmas Card! Oh, BTW, Fergie and her Beau are on it too.
Via Yahoo Music:
For this year's holiday card, the spouses of nearly three years enlisted the talents of caricature artist James Malia, who transformed the A-list stars into a sexy Mrs. Claus and a cheery snowman. Malia also included illustrations of the couple's two dogs, Meatloaf and Zoe.
What does Fergie, 36, want most this Christmas? "For my dogs to use the bathroom outside!" she told Us Weekly at her Black Eyed Peas bandmate Apl.de.Ap's birthday party in L.A. Tuesday.

Dachshund Survives Snake Bite After Blood Transfusion From Homeless Yellow Labrador
Talk about Dachshund and dog stories that just melt your heart. Meet 3-year-old smooth black and tan 'Buddy,' who hails from Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Buddy went after a surly water moccasin he spotted near the fenced-in pond behind his family's home, and the snake struck him in the eyebrow. It didn't look like Buddy was going to pull through until the vets at Companion Animal Hospital tried a risky blood transfusion with a homeless yellow labrador at the hospital named 'Fergie.' Thanks to the hospital's expert care, Buddy is doing well, and Fergie is available for adoption.

Celebrity Dachshund Watch: Josh Duhamel and Fergie, Continued
Love birds Stacy Ferguson and Josh Duhamel take a walk through a canyon with their little wiener dog on Monday morning in Los Angeles. Huh? We first reported on Josh and Fergie last December, but they seem to keep a pretty low profile with their dachshunds. We had heard they had 2 dachshunds: "purebred Zoe and mutt Dylan." If Zoe, who was pictured in December is the "purebred," could this be 'Dylan?' Sure looks like a smooth chocoloate and tan to us; maybe he's a new addition to the pack. See 14 pics over at Just Jared. If anyone has any more info, please send it in!

Celebrity Dachshund Watch: Josh Duhamel and Fergie
Celebrity Dog Watcher dug up this photo of Josh Duhamel and Vanessa Marcil, as Vanessa arrived for Josh's birthday party. Both Josh and Vanessa star on NBC's Las Vegas. Josh, whose most recent movie was Transformers, is currently living with pop singer Fergie. This is their black and tan (dapple?) dachshund 'Zoe.'
According to Blender, Josh and Fergie have 2 dachshunds: "purebred Zoe and mutt Dylan."
By all means, if anyone has any better photos of Zoe and Dylan, send them in!
Shopping at the pet store with Josh and Fergie. They bought an Earl "farting" rubber chicken!
