  1. I wish I could snap up all 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 of you, but Cloversweed has "got your back" little doggies, yes indeed! Somewhere in the Alexandria area, there are people just waiting to love you.

SHAME on the owners who abandoned these dogs!

  7. Hey. This is cloversweed from YT. THANK ALL OF YOU FOR ALL THE SUPPORT! You do not know how much your support has helped me through. I did post updates re: 8DOTS LEFT on their page. Each day since, 8days since btw, on my general comments page, I had a plea, outcry, like I was a radio talk show host (wo the audience). O, do not be spooked by ALice Cooper, he just passed thru our area. I have loved him since youth. He is a Christian, a stage showman avid golfer, loves his family, inc the wife .I would love so much if I could have his help with this "campaign". I know, as has always been the case in this city, that I am continue to face this very steep mtn. But I am not a quitter. It is no news flash, that the City of Alex,LA is NOT animal-friendly. I will continue to slam the Mayor and the City. It is true what I say. I have so much documentation. I haven't the desire to inform the "media" or reveal my ID. They are airheads anyway, but a general Internet search will show8DOTSLEFT. I can be "your worst nightmare" if I am hurt, and to hurt me, is to hurt an animal. So, I work alone. I have contacts, but I would not dare risk their reputation bc of me! LOL People here just give up and unfortunately, demographics and lack of education is a significant factor in this problem. I can say that too with knowledge and certainty and experience, bc I used to teach Mathematics in our public school system. So we will see. Thank you for your strength. I need you all so much. cloversweed

  9. I called Alexandria, LA city animal shelter today in the hopes that someone would do something about these doxies. I found this post last night and I got so upset. I am hoping to hear back from them sometime today.

  10. The animal shelter reported to me that the dogs are not at the home anymore and they are also not at the shelter. They are assuming that the owners came back to get them. I will be following up with the animal shelter superintendent on Monday morning. Unfortunately he is out of the office until then.

  11. Luara, thanks so much for the follow-up and posting what you found out about the puppies. We've been worried sick as well, and couldn't really tell from the videographer if they were still there or not. That was great of you to check on them.

  12. I was glad to do it! Those poor little babies, I felt so awful and I just couldn't stand thinking that they were still stuck in that backyard.

  14. I was able to speak with the superintendent of the animal shelter in Alexandria, LA today. He said that the lady who was living in the home had 8 or 9 little dachshunds and she was being evicted for not paying rent. At the time the video was taken, it appeared to the neighbors that she had left the dogs, but she was actually still living there sneaking in and out at night, so that the owner of the home would not know. According to the superintendent, the dogs were being cared for the entire time. The owner of the dogs has since moved and taken all of them with her. Coincidentally, the home was a rental property owned by one of the superintendent's neighbors and this is how he was able to find out all of this. The shelter never removed the dogs because they were trying to give the owner a chance to find a new place to live and take the dogs with her.
