Shelter Dachshunds Get Gifts of Longer, Healthier Lives

Meet adoptable dachshund friends 'Jasmine,' the red longhair, and 'Nikki,' the black and tan longhair, currently sheltered at Edmond Animal Shelter in Edmond, Oklahoma. Jasmine needs dental work, and Nikki has heartworm, both of which are conditions that the shelter is unable to provide treatment for. Enter a local organization called Paws for Life, which helps with the funds to cover the costs of special medical attention for animals at the shelter.
Read more about Jasmine and Nikki (including more pics!), and Paws for Life at the Edmond Sun. Jasmine and Nikki, close companions, are looking for a home which will adopt them both.
