Halloween Wiener Wrap-Up

We hate to see our favorite month, Dachtober, come to an end. 'Bowie,' a long-hair docksen, (sic) swiped his gangster hat from an American Girl doll and headed down to the Andersonville Howl-o-ween Parade in Chicago. Bowie is owned by Danica Milich and Terri Klinsky of Chicago. The event, sponsored by the Andersonville South Neighborhood Association, also included a costume contest. (Stacia Timonere/for Pioneer Press) We know Bowie, he's our friend! Look at how handsome he is!

Honolulu resident Dennis Pearson held his dachshund dragon, 'Pono,' at the Ward Warehouse's "Howl-O-Ween" canine costume contest yesterday in Kakaako, Hawaii. Winners received goodies from the Pet Spot, including food, apparel and treats. Source.
Five year old dachshund sisters 'Thelma and Louise' enjoyed watching the Jim Thorpe Halloween Parade along with their owner Erin Kennedy of Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. These irresistible gals were dressed appropriately in hot dog costumes topped with mustard and ketchup for the occasion. Source
