THE DACHSHUND

THE DACHSHUND

My funny features may abound,
Short legs, long body, low to ground,
But I'm about the perfect pal
For man or woman, boy or gal.
I'm gentle, very playful, kind.
I housebreak fast
'Cause I'm refined.
I'm smart but never sly or foxy,
No!  Don't underrate the Dachsie!

  2. I'm here! Loved the poem, btw, but just haven't left a comment till now. I did see a book at Barnes and Noble yesterday about a family owned by three doxies. I'll have to read it.

  4. I hope so, Anonymous!

I was watching an old Barbara Stanwyck movie the other set during WW I. The family had a dachshund, a black and tan smooth, that unfortunately suffered because he was a German dog and that wasn't acceptable.

  7. Did anyone else see the litter of black and tan smooths on Too Cute today? It was on Animal Planet at 6 eastern. The doxie pups really were too cute!

Still keeping my fingers crossed for Rowdy's, Bette's and Carson's return.

You owe it to your "good friend" ;) to post something - if only a picture of Bette (Ike's been wanting to see what she looks like now!) Doggie date soon?

  14. Carson,

Do you need some of us fellow dachshundists to help with TLATSOIA? I think some of us would be willing to help out.
