British jazz-blues singer Adele entertains a sold-out audience at the Orpheum Theatre on Tuesday.
Thanks so much to Elizabeth Rosalyn for leaving a comment: So... Adele just gave a huge shoutout to your blog at her Vancouver concert tonight. :)
Wow - we're so honored - boy do we love Adele. She's the hottest Dachshundist around - selling over 8 million copies of her latest album?
We're not sure what she said, but The Vancouver Sun notes:
Adele would spend plenty of time chatting up her crowd between songs - talking about her wiener dog, her blog, fans she had met at the airport earlier that day and other lighthearted matters - and having quite a laugh throughout.
If anyone has any more info, please leave a comment!
Read more about Adele and her Dachshund 'Louie' in the archives, check out her official site, and buy her music. You won't be sorry. Seriously.
Adele expressed her love for wiener dogs and said that she even is part of a blog called the "Long and short of it all" because she loves them so much. This was after pointing out the wiener dog material on her chair and also the print on her mug.
ReplyDeleteHi Erin, thanks so much for the scoop! That's awesome! Sounds like it was a great show from all the reviews we've read.
ReplyDeleteYup, what Erin said. I was thrilled to hear that Adele loves doxies, too. I myself live with 10 pounds of obnoxious miniature dachshund called Flynn.
ReplyDeleteGreat new's!! Now you should increase your readers. BTW why don't you have a dorkie day of the week also?? I am a proud owner of 2 Wien's and a Dork!
ReplyDeleteI actually found your blog through Adele's site! She has it as one of her favorite links...
ReplyDeleteAnd my mom & I are loving it! Thanks so much for sharing the adventures of Joey & Maggie.
Many Licks,

HI, I was at the Adele concert on Tuesday. She did indeed mention your blog. Actually said I read a blog called the long and the short of it. Showed us the cushion on her chair and her mug that have pictures of sausage dogs, as she calls them. Her gift stand was even selling tshirts that had a red heart with a sausage dog in the center of the heart.
ReplyDeleteWhat an honor for you guys to have such a lovely, talented lady as a regular reader.
You have a really nice blog here. All the best.
