Meet one of the 67 dogs found living in filthy, stacked bird cages in the West Englewood neighborhood in Chicago on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. We're sure that this little black and tan piebald got adopted from Chicago's Anti-Cruelty Society over the weekend. Source. Thanks to our pal 'Clancy' for sending in the link!

How I wish I had been in Chicago this weekend. What a beauty. Best wishes to the family who got this dog. Soooo good lookin'. No more bird cage for you fly high little Dachsie.
ReplyDeleteI love piebalds and I'm so glad those dogs were rescued. Just this morning I was petting a neighbor's longhair and telling him he looks like a little bird, but it's awful to think of dachshunds in bird cages.
ReplyDeleteThe piebalds are gorgeous. I've never seen one before so did some googling and they aren't a registered bred in Australia.
