Junior League volunteer Lucy Ulmer reads with smooth black and tan 'Smokey' and 2-year-old Victoria Lopez at the Pinecrest Branch Library in Pinecrest, Florida, for a program that links up children and "reading buddy'' dogs. The program is called Paws-2-Read, and is so popular that it will soon be expanding to four other local library branches.
The children ''are so focused on the dogs and having fun, and even if they're having problems, they're not afraid to read aloud,'' project chair Robin Preston said.

I would love it if my dog were that calm, especially around kids.
